Why visit American Museum of Natural History with kids?

Dinosaurs, nature, planetarium and science exhibits. Located in Manhattan, New York City, this museum attraction offers opportunities for children and their families to explore at their own pace.

Experiences and things to discover

• Explore the museum's world-famous fossil halls and enormous natural-history collections.
• The Richard Gilder Center adds immersive science experiences, and special exhibitions can require separate tickets.
• The museum publishes maps, accessibility guidance, dining options and exhibit-closure notices.

What parents should know

Choose two or three priority halls before arriving; the collection is too large to comfortably see in one family visit. Although this is a year-round destination, schedules and individual experiences can still change.
